Chilli Paneer


Chilli Paneer

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Cornflour
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Plain flour ( Maida)
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 150gm Paneer
  • 1 Capsicum cut into 3/4”pieces
  • 2 tsp Soya sauce
  • 2 1/2tbsp Tomato Ketchup
  • 1/2 tbsp Vinegar
  • 4-5 green chillies slit lengthwise
  • 4-5 flakes garlic crushed
  • 1 tbsp Coriander Chopped
  • 1/4 tsp Ajinomoto
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Sugar
  • few toothpicks
PROCEDURE
Mix plain flour, cornflour & salt. Add enough water to make a batter of a thick pouring consistency, such that it coats the paneer. Cut paneer  into 3/4 ” cubes. Dip each piece in the batter & deep fry to a golden brown colour.  Keep aside.  Heat 2 tbsp oil. Fry the green chillies & garlic.  Reduce heat.  Add salt, pepper, sugar & ajinomoto.  Add soya sauce, chilli sauce, tomato ketchup & vinegar.  Stir. Add capsicum Stir fry for a few seconds.  Add the fried paneer & coriander.  Mix well.  Remove from heat.
To serve, thread on a tooth pick- a piece of capsicum, then a paneer & again a capsicum piece.
