Benarsi Kheer
INGREDIENTS
5 Cups Milk
1/3 Cup Rice Washed & soaked in water
1/2 tin Milkmaid
1/2 tsp saffron(Kesar)
10 Almonds blanched & chopped
10-15 raisins soaked in water & squeezed
Seeds of 2-3 green cardamoms powdered
PROCEDURE
Microwave covered milk & rice togetrher for 9 minutes. Microwave uncovered for 5 minutes. Add milkmaid & kesar. Mix well. Microwave uncovered for 10 minutes. Stir in between. Microwave at 60% power for 5 minutes. Remove from microwave & mash well with a karchi to break the Ice grains. Microwave for 5 minutes at 60% power. Add almonds & raisins. Cool. Add elaichi powder. Chill & serve.
