Date & Walnut Cake

INGREDIENTS
  • 1Cup Maida(Cake flour)
  • 1/4Cup Oil
  • 1/4Cup Walnuts
  • 1/4Cup Dates
  • 1/3Cup Water
  • 1/4tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2tsp Baking Powder
  • 2tsp Powdered Sugar
  • 1/4tin Condensed Milk
PROCEDURE
Cook dates &1/3Cup water on low heat till soft. Cool & blend to paste. Add maida, baking powder & baking soda in a different bowl. Mix oil &condensed milk. Add paste of dates & mix followed by adding walnuts to it. Fold in Maida to form a smooth dough.
Put in the greased baking dish.Set the oven at 270 degree to heat for 5 minutes & bake it at 150 degree for 45 minutes,doing the cake test in between. Let it cool on the racks for 4-5 hours.
