Golden Fried Prawns
INGREDIENTS
- 12 large prawns cleaned & deveined
MARINADE
- 1 tbsp Soya sauce
- 1 tbsp Wine or Sherry
- 1/4 tsp Ajinomoto
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Pepper
BATTER
- 3 tbsp Plain flour( Maida)
- 3 tbsp Corn Flour
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 1/4 tsp White pepper
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Ajinomoto
- 1 Egg
PROCEDURE
In a bowl mix soya sauce, sherry, ajinomoto, salt & black pepper. Marinate the prawns in it for 15-30 minutes. Make a smooth paste by adding plain flour, cornflour, baking powder, oil, salt, white pepper & ajinomoto in egg.Add just enough water to get a very thick batter. Dip the prawns into the batter. Deep fry one or two pieces at a time till golden brown. Serve hot with chilli sauce.
