Cantonese Vegetables with rice

INGREDIENTS
  • 1/2 Cabbage Cut into big chunks
  • 2 Medium sized carrots parboiled & cut into thick rounds
  • 2 medium sized onions cut into four
  • 1 Capsicum cut into 8 pieces
  • Some green vegetables
  • Chicken pieces
  • 2 Cups water
  • 2 tbsp Soya sauce
  • 1 tsp Chilli sauce
  • 1 tsp Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 tsp ajinomoto
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp Cornflour dissolved in water
  • 2 Bowls Boiled & fried rice
PROCEDURE
Wash & cut vegetables & chicken pieces into big pieces.Stir fry each vegetable separately in little oil. Do not over fry.The colour of vegetables should not change & crispiness intact.Take these out into a serving dish. Heat 1 tbsp oil. Add soya sauce, chilli sauce, vinegar, salt, pepper, ajinomoto & sugar. Stir on low heat for a few seconds. Add water. Boil. Add cornflour paste, stirring continuosly. Remove from fire when thick. Add the vegetables to the sauce & serve hot with boiled & fried rice.

Veg Manchurian


imageimageimageThis is a very famous chineese recipie,very simple to prepare  but great at taste.Prepared in Indian style to satisfy the taste buds with the proper balance of spices. Try it out!!



INGREDIENTS
For the Balls

  • 1 cup Grated Cauliflower
  • 1 cup Grated Cabbage
  • 1 cup Grated Radish
  • 1 spoon Grated Ginger
  • 1/2 cup Boiled & mashed Potatoes
  • 2 Green Chillies Chopped
  • 2 Big spoon Bread slices mashed
  • 2 Big spoon Corn Flour
  • 1/2 spoon Redchilli Powder
  • 1 Pinch Sodabicarbonate
  • Salt, Black Pepper(To taste)
  • Oil(For deep frying)
For Gravy
  • 1 Big Spoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 3 Spoon Tomato Sauce
  • 1 Spoon Soya Sauce
  • 1 Spoon Oil
  • 1 Spoon Corn Flour
  • 2 Chopped Green chillies
  • 2 Cup Tomato Puree
  • 1/4 Cup Vinegar
  • 4 Cup Water
  • Salt,Black pepper(to taste)
PROCEDURE
Mix all the ingredients of balls with slight water & form balls out of them. Heat oil in a kadai,& deep fry the balls till golden . Remove from flame & keep aside.
To make gravy,heat oil in a saucepan,put green chillies & garlic.Add tomato puree,tomato sauce, soya sauce &vinegar.Put cornflour in a small bowl along with some water to form a lump free paste.Put this in the saucepan.Add manchurian balls in the gravy & cook for 2 minutes.Put in a serving dish & serve.
GARNISHING
Garnishing is one of the most important feature,things which look good,enhance our taste buds & therefore our appetite. Garnish the saucy red coloured manchurian with contrasting green chopped coriander leaves.
